The first bird’s nest I have ever seen. These little wee ones are only a day old. They are Chipping Sparrows.
They make a small nest, lay anywhere from 3-5 little blue eggs. They line their nests with hair and are sometimes known as Hairbirds. They have been known to pluck the hair off sleeping dogs and cats. If you look close enough you will see this is lined with hair. Probably belonging to the cat and dog who live in the yard where these Sparrows made their nest.
