When you have nothing better to do you chase around a grouse in hopes of getting a photo of him. I think he was on to me.
My biggest pet peeve. People driving down to the Snye to see the northern lights and then leaving their headlights on. It wasn’t a spectacular night to see them but they were out.
It was -45 last night when the Northern Lights made their appearance. Max, the dog and I headed to the Snye to see if we could get some photos. It was chilly.
I was hanging out under the trees watching these guys. They were tossing pinecones and pine needles my way. I guess I was lucky that’s all they tossed my way.
I hope that 2021 brings you lots of toilet paper, flour, yeast and vaccines! Let’s hope that the next 365 days are better than the last.
A moon ring or winter halo appears when ice crystals are suspended high in very thin and whispy clouds and those clouds refract the moon’s light to form a perfect circle.
It’s October first and there is a chill in the air. A reminder that winter is not far away. Fall is a short season up here so you have to enjoy while you can.
